Wired66 > It looks like guard duty for me.  In one and a half tours, I never had to fire my weapon in Vietnam and only saw it when we went on alert or pulled guard duty.  I am sure other soldiers wish they could have said the same, because it would have meant they were out of harms way.

Wired66 > Vietnam, 1966, when I was a Private First Class.  We had just moved to our new facilities, south of the Air Force Base in Vung Tau.
Wired66 > Me, while stationed at Ft Carson, Colorado, 1967.  We were in the mountains, near Pike's Peak, playing war games with the 5th Infantry Division.  Our 295th Supply and Support Company won by infiltrating their camp and stealing their Colors.  We had a Special Forces sergeant in our Company which made the difference.
